How to read the BTTS tips today table

The BTTS chance is the market's view, worked out from the odds with the bookmaker's margin taken out. A 60% chance means the odds think both teams score in about six games out of ten like this one.

Best yes and best no are the biggest prices on offer across the bookmakers we track. Where one is bigger than the fair price by 3% or more, it's listed under possible value.

Three BTTS betting tips: prices, accas and team news

  • Shop around. The difference between the best and worst BTTS price on the same game is often bigger than the bookmaker's margin.
  • Be wary of BTTS accas. Each leg adds the bookmaker's margin again, so a four leg BTTS acca carries far more margin than a single.
  • Check team news. A missing striker or keeper can move BTTS prices quickly, so confirm the latest price with your bookmaker before you bet.

Read our BTTS guide for how the market works, and check any acca with the acca calculator.

BTTS predictions FAQ

What are BTTS predictions?

BTTS predictions estimate the chance that both teams score in a match. Ours come from the BTTS odds, with the bookmaker's margin removed.

What are BTTS tips?

BTTS tips are picks for "both teams to score": a bet that each team scores at least one goal. This page ranks today's games by how likely the odds say BTTS is, so you can see the market's view at a glance.

How is the BTTS chance worked out?

We take the BTTS yes and no prices, remove the bookmaker's margin and turn what's left into a percentage. Where the betting exchanges price the game we use their odds, because they have the smallest margins. Otherwise we average the bookmakers.

What does possible value mean?

A bookmaker's price is bigger than the fair price worked out from the market, by 3% or more. It isn't a guarantee, but bets at bigger prices than fair are what value betting is built on.

How often do the odds update?

Match odds update in the morning and again about 45 minutes before each kick-off. BTTS odds are taken once, within 24 hours of kick-off. Nothing updates once a game has started.

Does BTTS include extra time?

Usually not. Most bookmakers settle BTTS on 90 minutes plus injury time.
