How to read the over 2.5 goals table
The over 2.5 chance is the market's view of how likely three or more goals are, with the bookmaker's margin taken out. When there are no games in our leagues today, the table shows the next match day instead.
Best over and best under are the biggest bookmaker prices on offer. Where one beats the fair price by 3% or more, it's listed under possible value.
Three over 2.5 goals tips: prices, accas and BTTS
- Compare prices across bookmakers. On the same game they often differ by more than the margin.
- Goals accas add the margin on every leg, so a long over 2.5 acca rarely offers value.
- Over 2.5 and both teams to score often move together, but not always: a 3-0 wins over 2.5 and loses BTTS.

Over 2.5 goals predictions FAQ
What does over 2.5 goals mean?
The match has three or more goals in total, from either team. A 2-1 or 3-0 wins an over 2.5 bet. A 1-1 or 2-0 loses it.
How is the over 2.5 goals chance worked out?
We take the over and under 2.5 goals prices, remove the bookmaker's margin and show what's left as a percentage. Where the betting exchanges price the game we use their odds, because they have the smallest margins. Otherwise we average the bookmakers.
What does possible value mean?
A bookmaker's price is bigger than the fair price by 3% or more. It isn't a guarantee, but backing prices that beat fair is what value betting is built on.
How often do the over 2.5 goals odds update?
Once each morning. Nothing updates once a game has started.
Does over 2.5 goals include extra time?
Usually not. Most bookmakers settle goals markets on 90 minutes plus injury time.
